The answer is Yes, I am gently returning back to create for my health blog. To be quite honest, I thought after having my baby, I would bounce right back and pick up where I left off, but life had other plans in stored for me that I was not expecting. Aside from finally becoming a mom to a beautiful handsome boy, there were two additional major life transitions in my personal and professional career that made an impact on how things were going to be moving forward. </p><p>I realized I was going to face new challenges, and I wasn't quite sure how I would navigate this part of my life, but I know I don't want to give up! So, here I am exploring life as a Single Mother while co-parenting and gently making decisions to be proactive again as I have so much to share in the wellness space from a new perspective. l look forward to re-engaging with my readers and followers as I continue to work on a lot of personal, professional and creative goals. I look forward to re-engaging with the platform I've created to continue connecting women about their wellness journey because I know it has a purpose. </p><p>I want to thank my supporters for hanging in there as my blog and podcast went dormant. And I look forward to re-connecting and returning back with new health and wellness initiatives. Stay tuned for 2024 amigas. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_hn0eDr7cum3k2Cb-dp96FHPYuS7sihaxNpsOWkVw_1P5a3FUstXmZ8ySVTZ4XW6jSnXAA1TiIhg6F4SovBT6UkuiTGvR1HQgm9jcutIQQYs5fD455buNoJKkBxMtz4f8T-cRxYJoSBQxM3VYGb_lyH8_nrIZ3sxMwOdCJH6utIHkf_9Eb0kquyJt5hT8/s2048/signature.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_hn0eDr7cum3k2Cb-dp96FHPYuS7sihaxNpsOWkVw_1P5a3FUstXmZ8ySVTZ4XW6jSnXAA1TiIhg6F4SovBT6UkuiTGvR1HQgm9jcutIQQYs5fD455buNoJKkBxMtz4f8T-cRxYJoSBQxM3VYGb_lyH8_nrIZ3sxMwOdCJH6utIHkf_9Eb0kquyJt5hT8/w640-h640/signature.PNG" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>Lilia G. Health problems that increase the risk of heart disease are common in Latino communities, including being overweight and having high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes. And to top it off, people with poor cardiovascular health are also at increase risk of severe illness from COVID-19. </p><p>Hispanic/Latino women ages 20 and older in the United States: 78% are overweights, 35% have high blood pressure, 34% have high cholesterol, and 12% have been diagnosed with diabetes. And even though we have this demographics and information, I still see many Latina women live a sedentary lifestyle and not being cooperative or complaint with making lifestyle changes, checking their blood pressure at home nor taking medication. We have to do better, so let's start here by informing yourself how you can start taking action.</p><p style="text-align: left;">Here are a couple healthy lifestyle choices to keep in mind: </p><p style="text-align: left;">1. Move each day (Aim for at least 2.5 hours of physical activity each week- that's just 30 minute a day, 5 days a week. In addition, do muscle strengthening exercises 2 days a week.)</p><p style="text-align: left;">2. Follow a heart-healthy eating plan (having good nutrition meals can help lower blood pressure and improve cholesterol levels. If you feel a little lost about where to start find out if there is a Nutritionist, Health Educator, Dietitian that can help you out) </p><p style="text-align: left;">3. Manage your stress!!!!!! (Take time for SELF CARE) </p><p style="text-align: left;">4. Get good quality of sleep ( Try not to cut yourself short, you will feel it, try to practice a night routine)</p><p style="text-align: left;">5. QUIT smoking (Tobacco and Nicotine are contributing factors to heart disease. Find out if there are Smoking Cessation services in your area) </p><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhG-MM8uGKpef0fMXkwGN4ofpMK-qwGxy6yU_UgYIE8-LcB6JPB_F11IITFXHt6hX7JvO7GaH6v0WOkaDTBdIkhdrYTQCeriApoDKDIpWSq6EmbpDrz-tw8Lzmrt28emoz4HFx8eC4Zbsw_H6qidcFToi2lHeByLOSD2UiPbhHgtTlSjqa8NSPY2ra9eg/s1200/OurHearts_Physical%20Activity_191205.gif" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="675" data-original-width="1200" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhG-MM8uGKpef0fMXkwGN4ofpMK-qwGxy6yU_UgYIE8-LcB6JPB_F11IITFXHt6hX7JvO7GaH6v0WOkaDTBdIkhdrYTQCeriApoDKDIpWSq6EmbpDrz-tw8Lzmrt28emoz4HFx8eC4Zbsw_H6qidcFToi2lHeByLOSD2UiPbhHgtTlSjqa8NSPY2ra9eg/s320/OurHearts_Physical%20Activity_191205.gif" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p><p style="text-align: center;">And three additional step for individuals with diagnoses of high blood pressure </p><p style="text-align: center;">6. Check your blood pressure at home </p><p style="text-align: center;">7. Take prescribed medication as directed, </p><p style="text-align: center;">(if your unclear about medication ask provider if they have medication </p><p style="text-align: center;">adherence counseling or class services available)</p><p style="text-align: center;">8. Report progress with your primary care provider </p><p style="text-align: center;">These small efforts can make a big difference to keeping your heart healthy! </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7SGIkmrIcVw5xssudr_U9GoEHKq541SO_leUQUMX1EEzfByh2BG285aV-dYT9Z2TfUo2tiK-iE4yXjfXFfuqBzRicC8FtovAZAFEVUw7FfnJ0ScBCoIt5LvLKnDYYfCRQJ3A1P2j9eiN-VqJrMNl1-v1z6qqVf44PVj3H3PsKJdN1K9KONIzRPLF1MA/s1200/https___wcms.nhlbi_.nih_.gov_sites_default_files_2021-03_Healthy_Stats_191205.gif" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="675" data-original-width="1200" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7SGIkmrIcVw5xssudr_U9GoEHKq541SO_leUQUMX1EEzfByh2BG285aV-dYT9Z2TfUo2tiK-iE4yXjfXFfuqBzRicC8FtovAZAFEVUw7FfnJ0ScBCoIt5LvLKnDYYfCRQJ3A1P2j9eiN-VqJrMNl1-v1z6qqVf44PVj3H3PsKJdN1K9KONIzRPLF1MA/s320/https___wcms.nhlbi_.nih_.gov_sites_default_files_2021-03_Healthy_Stats_191205.gif" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p style="text-align: center;">I hope this educational blog post raises your awareness of how to prevent heart disease. </p><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: "Times New Roman", Tinos, "Baskerville Old Face", "Bell MT", serif; font-size: 14.6667px; text-align: start; white-space: pre-wrap;"> </span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpk57BTKZMQ2f1u2BTdgxfLKvAnU2jQ8OL2jl07tFpvi1S_8wbLEyOLkskTkk_JpVDcLsyJ4QAxSL8fdslXjDkO4tQP8f4CWKFUf7VgI35ZdnU28OAFHSzUy_Pbn1ZLRYS_bB10agHRw466qLuW4Ma_WAjs3y3EpzhjeVaOk5BJ1YjpFwyDYsWS5iLAQ/s2048/signature.PNG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpk57BTKZMQ2f1u2BTdgxfLKvAnU2jQ8OL2jl07tFpvi1S_8wbLEyOLkskTkk_JpVDcLsyJ4QAxSL8fdslXjDkO4tQP8f4CWKFUf7VgI35ZdnU28OAFHSzUy_Pbn1ZLRYS_bB10agHRw466qLuW4Ma_WAjs3y3EpzhjeVaOk5BJ1YjpFwyDYsWS5iLAQ/w640-h640/signature.PNG" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><i><span style="font-size: x-small;">References: National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute </span></i></div><br /><p></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p> </p>Lilia G. Hispanic women have the highest rates of developing cervical cancer, and Black women have the highest rates of dying from cervical cancer (Division of Cancer Prevention and Control, Centers of Disease Control and Prevention.)</p><p>Just reading this statistic makes me upset all together and raise many questions of course, but I want to focus in sharing the Inside Knowledge about Gynecologic Cancer Campaign with you ladies because I want to make sure you know about the five main types of gynecologic cancer: cervical, ovarian, uterine, vaginal, and vulvar. </p><p>We have all heard the word "Cancer", but are you conciously aware about gynecological cancer? When I ask this question in general to women, a majority of them don't know about symptoms or the different types of cancer that can exist in our wombs. We need to change this narrative, so let me start by sharing some educational information, resources, and videos. </p><p>Gynecological cancer is any cancer that starts in woman's reproductive organs. While gynecologic cancer are often discussed as a group, each is unique and has different signs, symptoms, risk factors, and prevention strategies. Cancer is always named for the part of the body where it starts, even if it spreads to other body parts later. </p><p><b>Cervical Cancer</b> is located in the Cervix. <b>Sign and Symptoms: </b>early on cervical cancer, may not have signs or symptoms. advance cervical cancer may cause bleeding or discharge from the vagina that is not normal for you. Remember there could be other underlying issues that may not be related to cancer, so it's recommended to see your doctor. </p><p><b>Ovarian Cancer: </b>is located in the Ovaries<b> </b>or in related areas of the fallopian tubes and the <b>peritoneum. </b><b>Signs and Symptoms: </b>vaginal bleeding or discharge that is not normal for you. Pain or pressure in the pelvic area. Abdominal or back pain. Bloating. Feeling full to quickly or difficulty eating. A change in your bathroom habits. Remember there could be other underlying issues that may not be related to cancer, so it's recommended to see your doctor. </p><p><b>Uterine Cancer: </b>the most common type of uterine cancer is also called endometrial cancer because it forms in the lining of your uterus, called the endometrium. <b>Signs and Symptoms: </b>may cause vaginal discharge or bleeding that is not normal for you. Bleeding may be abnormal because of how heavy it is or when it happens, such as after you have gone through menopause and between periods. Bleeding is never normal after your periods stop. Uterine cancer may also cause other symptoms, such as pain or pressure in your pelvis. Remember there could be other underlying issues that may not be related to cancer, so it's recommended to see your doctor (cdc, gynecologic cancer). </p><p><b>Vaginal and Vulvar Cancer: </b>when cancer starts in the vagina, it is called vaginal cancer. The vagina, also called birth canal, is the hollow, tube-like channel between the bottom of the uterus and the outside of the body<b>. </b>When cancer forms in the vulva, it is vulvar cancer. The vulva is the outer part of the female genital organs. It has two folds of skin called the labia. Vulvar cancer most often occurs on the inner edges of the labia. <b>Vaginal Cancer Signs and Symptoms: </b>may cause vaginal discharge or bleeding that is not normal for you. Bleeding may be abnormal because of how heavy it is or when it happens, such as after you have gone through menopause and between periods. Change in bathroom habits. Pain in your pelvic the area below your stomachh and in between your hip bones, especially when you pass urine or have sex. <b>Vulvar Cancer Signs and Symptoms</b>: Itching, burning, bleeding on the vulva that does not go away, changes in the colore of the skin of the vulva, so that it look redder or whiter than is normal for you, skin changes in the vulva, including what looks like a rash or warts, Sore, lumps, or ulcers on the vulva that do not go away. Pain in your pelvis, especially when you urinate or have sex. Remember there could be other underlying issues that may not be related to cancer, so it's recommended to see your doctor. </p><p>Wow! that is a lot of information right and I am just sharing a minor portion. Okay, let's take a break and watch an educational video. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><iframe allowfullscreen="" class="BLOG_video_class" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/2ohXdLd14KM" width="320" youtube-src-id="2ohXdLd14KM"></iframe></div><br /><p><br /></p><p>The Inside Knowledge Campaign came more into light with Johanna's Law who died of ovarian cancer in 2000. Her story made an impact on women's health initiatives, so it was important for me to start the new year with sharing a little information about the five types of gynecological cancer because as women we are often busy taking care of everyone else that we often dismiss symptoms. So it's time to change that narrative and follow up with medical and/or holistic providers to get screen, ask questions, and have a plan of care. </p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>

And this one goes out to my mujeres who think or feel that you may be that highly sensitive person. We know already there is a highly negative stigma associated with being too sensitive y por lo menos la familia te llama dramatica y chillona! Si, you read that right and most people take that to the heart and force yourself to numb your true emotions, but the consequence of numbing is that you leave a negative lasting impression that will affect every part of your work and personality. </p><p>Y pues eso no es bueno... amiga. Let me tell you something, if you are a highly sensitive person, I want you to know that your ability to feel things make you a nurturer and a healer in other words a person with compassion and understanding. People we need today because of all the b.s. in today's world, but also not to be taking advantage of because Karma is REAL. </p><p>Y con eso dicho, a HSP seeks meaning to life because you are on the a journey to finding a meaning to life, your purpose and your magic. Yes, you enjoy things like everyone else, but you are a seeker, you dive deep into feelings which can be good, but bad if you your are imbalance with your emotions. And the reason it can be bad is because imbalance emotions can make you prone to depression and susceptible to trigger self-esteem and anxiety issues.</p><p>This is why it's important to seek solitude and have breaks intervals monthly, quarterly, and yearly. Breaking away to recharge is necessary for you mind, body, and soul. So retrieving yourself for some downtime is necessary for your energy that contributes to your health and well-being. The stigma we need to break with being emotional is that yes it can be messy, but necessary at the same time, so your body and mind don't become stagnant and prone to severe heath condition that distance your soul from living an meaningful life. </p><p>Imagine having a society without HSP (Imagine, Imagine, Imagine). We would lack empathy and a lack of empathy is a root cause for issues we face today. So, be glad if you are a Highly Sensitive Person because you provide balance in an unbalanced environment. And as a reminder to my HSP people feel the emotion and let it go if it doesn't serve a purpose. </p><p><br /></p><p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-ZUytKvHYlvTUK2xqJT9JzjmVBigH59VJIIvxIseh6BEDXh5avoK8wbbc83NtvNYN7LCoPl_NhRP7NZ2X_gUtCumi1g9iIf-hTndJo2HonUGRo0f-c8xnzp_lTeNZYhxnVHPsFv8jz9Xu/s2048/signature.PNG" style="background-color: white; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-ZUytKvHYlvTUK2xqJT9JzjmVBigH59VJIIvxIseh6BEDXh5avoK8wbbc83NtvNYN7LCoPl_NhRP7NZ2X_gUtCumi1g9iIf-hTndJo2HonUGRo0f-c8xnzp_lTeNZYhxnVHPsFv8jz9Xu/w640-h640/signature.PNG" width="640" /></a></p>Lilia G. I know what you are thinking.....how many times have I hear this before? But truly you will relate because you are also walking in my shoes because we are all going through some easy and/or really ugly nasty transitions in life! </p><p>So... what is the deal Lily...why am I reading this?! Here is the thing ladies, we are all working on re-birthing ourselves, our strength, our wisdom, our self-love and much more. But before we can enjoy the remodeling of "Me" and "You" we must first acknowledge the pain and messiness that left an imprint in our mind and stagnation in our bodies. Yeah you know the pain that is tied to your emotion that seems to haunt you because you keep permitting those memories, situations, and/or trauma to recycle back into your life!!</p><p>I know we've all prayed for a do-over, a second chance, a clean slate only to find ourselves confronted with terror that you thought you had erased (possibly maybe even healed from), but all you did was repressed and tuck those feelings real deep within yourself. Nevertheless, that fear is sometimes present in our life because we are going through transitions that may open up those repressed feelings. Whether we are intentionally seeking it or not... we are tapping into those energies within ourselves because we still got work to do.</p><p>So, now is the time to reclaim your re-birth and tap and discover the inner wisdom that is tied to God and Divine. Rather than brush your repressed emotions, ask yourself, what would you like to learn from them. Activate your self-reflection and establish some mindful practices that feeds your soul such as: nature, daily prayers, reading, and social activities to re-claim your healing journey and create new experiences. </p><p>And don't forget to honor your body by eating healthy, exercising, resting, and practicing self-love. Stand with your emotions and make space for clarity and breathe in your presence. It's time to let go of the wounds that have caused physical illness. Your alive. Create and make space in your consciousness for a new chapter to begin. </p><p style="text-align: center;">I look forward to hosting a self-love workshop towards end of August. </p><p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-ZUytKvHYlvTUK2xqJT9JzjmVBigH59VJIIvxIseh6BEDXh5avoK8wbbc83NtvNYN7LCoPl_NhRP7NZ2X_gUtCumi1g9iIf-hTndJo2HonUGRo0f-c8xnzp_lTeNZYhxnVHPsFv8jz9Xu/s2048/signature.PNG" style="background-color: white; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-ZUytKvHYlvTUK2xqJT9JzjmVBigH59VJIIvxIseh6BEDXh5avoK8wbbc83NtvNYN7LCoPl_NhRP7NZ2X_gUtCumi1g9iIf-hTndJo2HonUGRo0f-c8xnzp_lTeNZYhxnVHPsFv8jz9Xu/w640-h640/signature.PNG" width="640" /></a></p><p><br /></p>Lilia G. And it's been tough ladies...... to find a certain baby formula brand and it's no where to be found..... this has been the situation for many mother's like myself. I've been helping out mom's behind the scenes and searching for resources and where to find their brand when I am able to. But I can say the same for my needs, I am sadden that the baby formula my baby needs is nowhere to be found, but I am lucky I have a few cans (2) left to provide him until I need to search for an alternative brand. </p><p>If you are a mother concern about switching brands talk to your pediatrician and let them know about your concerns, baby's age, how they are doing with there formula feedings, weight, growth, etc. This is exactly what I did,since my baby is 6 months and is able to tolerate formula well and cereal, so with the consult of a pediatrician it may be okay to switch, so I will be on the hunt for a new brand....but the major concern is if it will be in stores or online.</p><p><br /></p><p> In a meanwhile, I wanted to share some resources for my mom community: </p><p><br /></p><h1 align="left" style="background-color: white; And to say the least, I would like to dedicate the first 2022 blog post to be about Pelvic Floor Exercises in women's health and for postpartum recovery. </p><p>To be quite honest, pelvic floor exercises should be taught right around the same time as menstruation health because this will be a vital window for young girls and women to know how to heal, support, and exercise the pelvic region as well as become familiar with the organs and muscles involved in the reproductive system. </p><p>Yet, our health education system lacks to share this knowledge with women which can increase delay in care and/or have certain symptoms worsen if not address early on. The reason I bring this up is because during my postpartum recovery I wished the OB/GYN and/or Nurse would have informed me to engage in pelvic floor exercises for healing after giving birth to my son. I knew after giving birth things would heal slowly from the cervix, uterus, and vaginal area, but I was not expecting for certain things to pop up and cause further discomfort and pain. I thought to myself it was part of the healing process while I was placing my son's care first, but eventually I realized I needed further follow up after the 6 weeks postpartum appointment. </p><p>May I also say, it's also unrealistic to get <u>one </u>postpartum follow up with the OB/GYN after giving birth, it should be at least a minimal 3 postpartum visits to check on the mother's recovery physically and mentally. I might want to look into this policy further because it's a crucial time for women to have follow ups available for prosper recovery. Okay, now that I vented a little, let's get to the main point of this blog post. Today, I like to share why women can benefit from pelvic floor exercises early on. </p><p>Pelvic floor muscle exercises can help with the following:</p><p></p><ul style="text-align: left;"><li>improve bladder and bowel control</li><li><span style="color: red;">reduce the risk of prolapse (especially after giving birth!!) </span></li><li><span style="color: red;">in women, this may feel like a bulge in the vagina or feeling of heaviness, discomfort, pulling, dragging, or dropping (make sure you f/u up with a OB/GYN right away to find out if you do have a prolapse and what organ is involved as well as the level of prolapse you are experiencing.)</span></li><li>Improve recovery from childbirth and gynaecological surgery </li><li>Improve sexual sensation or orgasm potential (who wouldn't want this!!) </li><li>Help strengthen pelvic floor muscles to reduce pain </li><li>(I also believe it can help with pelvic trauma healing because you are using your own body movement and breath work to release the pain your holding emotionally) </li><li>It can also be practice during menstruation cycle and paying attention to your relaxation phase during a kegel exercise can be a great way to help reduce pain and tension during your period. </li></ul><div>Now that you know a little bit about the benefits, it's important to know as women we have different levels of pain tolerance during birth and/or surgery recovery as well as everyone experiences their period differently and should choose what feels right for you during this time. Remember if you pain lingers or you feel any type of symptom that is prolonging or worsening in the pelvic region make sure to follow up with your provider such as OB/GYN, Midwives, Nurse Practitioners they can always further evaluate and make recommendations. </div><div><br /></div><div>Below are a few examples of some pelvic floor exercises, but if you need assistance with these exercises or don't how to engage the muscles or technique a physical therapist can help assist you in these areas to help engage those pelvic floor muscles and get you on your way to strengthening your muscles while at the same time supporting your recovery. Remember not all exercises can be applied to everyone, so if you need some support in this area have a conversation with your medical provider to get a referral for a pelvic floor therapist. </div><div><br /></div><img alt="" class="article__image wp-post-image" height="427" loading="lazy" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" src="https://assets.oviahealth.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/article_109668.jpg" srcset="https://assets.oviahealth.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/article_109668.jpg 640w, https://assets.oviahealth.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/article_109668-500x334.jpg 500w" style="background-color: white; border-style: none; box-sizing: inherit; color: #333333; display: block; font-family: proxima-nova, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px; height: auto; max-width: 100%; text-align: center; width: 600px;" width="640" /><div style="text-align: center;"> </div><div style="text-align: center;">Also like to share this great resource below: </div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.theoriginway.com/">https://www.theoriginway.com</a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Covered by most insurances</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEi_PZy1UtWBIsJFTgsvf_olOg3chmelu2EgsrGYkrzh7TaH13-gE52cvtWp5GtdgTsWdNZpBEn3ljlS1LJkeaJy2rM_au7QsdtnAyVLLwtJHJqoP3zRl6pkauFiGg99KIN5gudSHaXDdNcVGa22kSA6mVSi97cU_q0cyMLGV3peSsWXkSzUlgbBAgkXCQ=s13750" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="13750" data-original-width="10625" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEi_PZy1UtWBIsJFTgsvf_olOg3chmelu2EgsrGYkrzh7TaH13-gE52cvtWp5GtdgTsWdNZpBEn3ljlS1LJkeaJy2rM_au7QsdtnAyVLLwtJHJqoP3zRl6pkauFiGg99KIN5gudSHaXDdNcVGa22kSA6mVSi97cU_q0cyMLGV3peSsWXkSzUlgbBAgkXCQ=w494-h640" width="494" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div><br /></div><p></p><p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-ZUytKvHYlvTUK2xqJT9JzjmVBigH59VJIIvxIseh6BEDXh5avoK8wbbc83NtvNYN7LCoPl_NhRP7NZ2X_gUtCumi1g9iIf-hTndJo2HonUGRo0f-c8xnzp_lTeNZYhxnVHPsFv8jz9Xu/s2048/signature.PNG" style="background-color: white; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-ZUytKvHYlvTUK2xqJT9JzjmVBigH59VJIIvxIseh6BEDXh5avoK8wbbc83NtvNYN7LCoPl_NhRP7NZ2X_gUtCumi1g9iIf-hTndJo2HonUGRo0f-c8xnzp_lTeNZYhxnVHPsFv8jz9Xu/w640-h640/signature.PNG" width="640" /></a></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>Lilia G. Before March comes to an end, I wanted to to address a Women's Health Topic having to do with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. This came into my though process as I was helping a patient out as she kept describing to me doctors didn't know what was wrong with her because she simply didn't have the energy for anything lately. Although I was seeing her for something else, I kept thinking about her frustration. So I did a little reading with books and research, I was curious to know why her symptoms were being dismissed. And then I came across what some people say some women have he " Raggedy Ann Syndrome" known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.<div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHmai-sBCEt217cgB1eEL8smukokx4Jaiki4jSvHLnnHLMa1Ricswie-6S920nAt4vzS76T2G8SNGEFmm-Ii6GTastnnUfU5eCsZD8EIPPKw47UQs7fka1vkgCZnfBYCtWitpG7zBh6lNs/s2048/CFS.PNG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHmai-sBCEt217cgB1eEL8smukokx4Jaiki4jSvHLnnHLMa1Ricswie-6S920nAt4vzS76T2G8SNGEFmm-Ii6GTastnnUfU5eCsZD8EIPPKw47UQs7fka1vkgCZnfBYCtWitpG7zBh6lNs/w640-h640/CFS.PNG" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div> CFS is characterized by continual tiredness, achy muscles, fever, drowsiness, and the you know occasional "blah" moments that lost for not weeks months........ sometime for some women even years.
I read that the typical patient are of course most likely woman between 20 and 50 years of age who are highly successful, educated and busy AF... Could this be you?! I mean at some point I even started asking myself could this be me! Well the answer to that was no because occasionally I do experience tiredness, but nothing that last for months, but it definitely made me curious to know what women should know....</div><div><br /></div><div> So, ladies, did you know that the typical patient will have a hard time finding someone to take her symptoms seriously which can at times be confused for depression or maybe doctors don't know even how to screen for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and there is a criteria to fit into this diagnoses. However at the same time CFS can mimic symptoms such as infectious diseases, hormonal disorders such as thyroid disease, drug abuse and exposure to toxins. For a women to be diagnose with CFS she must have persisting symptoms lasting more than six months or longer, but as well as have at lease 8 of the 11 symptoms below: </div><div><br /></div><div> *Chills and mild fever </div><div>*Sore throat </div><div>*Painful or swollen lymph glands </div><div>*Unexplained general muscle weakness</div><div>*Muscle Discomfort</div><div>*Fatigue for a least 24 hours after previously tolerated exercise</div><div> *Health unlike any previous pain </div><div>*Joint paint without joint swelling and redness</div><div> *Forgetfulness, excessive irritability, confusion, inability to concentrate </div><div>*Disturbed sleep </div><div>*Quick onset of symptoms within a few hours or days </div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div> Some of these symptoms are similar to COVID-19 SARS 2 and it could possibly be that during the pandemic that some women's fatigue started abruptly following an infection of COVID-19 or after the flu too. Also, Symptoms usually start during a stressful time and when unusual demands are being made of the person such as family, work etc.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYtzXxT59pL4TtiUCdzf94ZKYPydRJBOGx_dDji1Klc0b0KVwLF4V7-3mTEprxMTZq2JVDtbVmNVc4Oo_SNgY6eVCgFJLkZLRXZK9wB-ta0-aG5lMgdZ3Q1l6DwfM-iZjF0m_NVLUugIBf/s500/CFS+II.PNG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="500" data-original-width="500" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYtzXxT59pL4TtiUCdzf94ZKYPydRJBOGx_dDji1Klc0b0KVwLF4V7-3mTEprxMTZq2JVDtbVmNVc4Oo_SNgY6eVCgFJLkZLRXZK9wB-ta0-aG5lMgdZ3Q1l6DwfM-iZjF0m_NVLUugIBf/w640-h640/CFS+II.PNG" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div> CFS can show up in laboratory results with high white blood cell count, slight abnormality of the liver and antibody levels can increase or decrease. Of course this will be on a case by case basis. One thing to keep in mind ladies is to always to talk to your provider and follow up to see how your health keeps progressing. Now I know, I am no Medical Doctor, but I do know one thing you can do to ease the symptoms and you hear me say it all the time in my IG stories..</div><div><br /></div><div> *Eat right</div><div>*Exercise </div><div>*Prioritize your activities...</div><div>*If you need to take a break...It's okay.... </div><div>*Continue living, but do monitor your symptoms </div><div>*Maintain a positive Attitude </div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div> There are several treatment to CFS diagnosis, but you will have to first get seen by a medical provider. Only tip of advice will be to look for a CFS specialist affiliated with a teaching hospital or university (Good examples are like USC or UCLA, UCSD etc.) You can also ask for a local support group that can help recommend a doctor. In other words ladies don't just sit around waiting for the answer to come to your lap, be proactive and take charge of your health. </div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-ZUytKvHYlvTUK2xqJT9JzjmVBigH59VJIIvxIseh6BEDXh5avoK8wbbc83NtvNYN7LCoPl_NhRP7NZ2X_gUtCumi1g9iIf-hTndJo2HonUGRo0f-c8xnzp_lTeNZYhxnVHPsFv8jz9Xu/s2048/signature.PNG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-ZUytKvHYlvTUK2xqJT9JzjmVBigH59VJIIvxIseh6BEDXh5avoK8wbbc83NtvNYN7LCoPl_NhRP7NZ2X_gUtCumi1g9iIf-hTndJo2HonUGRo0f-c8xnzp_lTeNZYhxnVHPsFv8jz9Xu/w640-h640/signature.PNG" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>Lilia G. Cervical cancer is a cancer that begins in the cervix, the part
of the uterus or womb that opens into the vagina. It is the part
of the uterus that dilates and opens fully to allow a baby to pass
into the birth canal. The normal cervix has two main types of cells:
squamous (or flat) cells, which protect the outside of the cervix,
and glandular cells which are mostly inside the cervix, and produce
the fluid and mucus commonly seen during ovulation.
Cervical cancer is caused by abnormal changes in either of
these cell types in the cervix, and is the only gynecologic
cancer that can be prevented by regular screening and
preventive vaccination.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUABNVTMeIcMLiPmRiD_N94-uZ9UPsHBbGOL0J5n4MhkqxVWnBjCTr0WGyIoRHniu3tPY_Y1jVapbp2a6AUVS4cZ0pq5YHnJ78kINmnrJw4flWZpkC36F2DogFjtN2QTUWtbLRGhwFpUrG/s1080/cervical+cancer.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1080" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUABNVTMeIcMLiPmRiD_N94-uZ9UPsHBbGOL0J5n4MhkqxVWnBjCTr0WGyIoRHniu3tPY_Y1jVapbp2a6AUVS4cZ0pq5YHnJ78kINmnrJw4flWZpkC36F2DogFjtN2QTUWtbLRGhwFpUrG/w640-h640/cervical+cancer.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p>Cervical precancers usually have no
symptoms. That is why it is important
to have a Pap test. A woman usually
does not have any symptoms until the
cells turn into cancer and invade the
deepest parts of the cervix or other
pelvic organs. </p><p>These symptoms include:</p><p> • Vaginal discharge</p><p> • Abnormal vaginal bleeding</p><p> • Vaginal odor</p><p> • Pain </p><p><br /></p><p>These symptoms may be caused by
cancer or by other health problems. It is
important for a woman to see her doctor
if she is having any of these symptoms.</p><p><br /></p><p>When a woman experiences concerning symptoms, a pelvic exam, including a rectovaginal exam, and a general physical should be performed. If the exam is abnormal, the woman might be advised to undergo an HPV test, a colposcopy (observing the cervix through a magnifying scope), and a biopsy, depending on the results of the colposcopy. If cervical cancer is suspected or diagnosed, it is important to seek care first from a gynecologic oncologist (Cervical Cancer: Your Guide | 5) </p><p><br /></p><p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsmJArRm2_Kykf2LPNzjP-6WYqCuZYRt3AugG_plgj4qE1p-nqUYIZNFciK5nlguzsx4ZCPpCI4LJormP1FA0KpRukRRHwJV323BbcuPPpB4hDfxme41DFMrFxKyRMXQz5A9I6DIOmplxW/s379/cervical+2.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="378" data-original-width="379" height="638" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsmJArRm2_Kykf2LPNzjP-6WYqCuZYRt3AugG_plgj4qE1p-nqUYIZNFciK5nlguzsx4ZCPpCI4LJormP1FA0KpRukRRHwJV323BbcuPPpB4hDfxme41DFMrFxKyRMXQz5A9I6DIOmplxW/w640-h638/cervical+2.PNG" width="640" /></a></p><p><br /></p><p>When cervical cancer is diagnosed, it is vital to determine if the
cancer has spread. Your treatment team may do more tests to
determine this. Additionally, specific procedures during surgery
may be performed to determine the extent of disease. This process
is called staging. Staging helps to determine the exact extent of
your cancer and what treatment plan is best for you (8 | Foundation for Women’s Cancer). </p><p>References: <a href="https://www.foundationforwomenscancer.org/gynecologic-cancers/cancer-types/cervical/">Cervical Cancer – Foundation for Women's Cancer</a> </p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCdyF_x_ZaLETK-a_9wnkKJBVNIzTsUWq5ACn4cX-LYIWpcNqVGZQiaLncO2QcpH3aVGiznRDrlkdfjPtZlVCnH4rRXDhp69Rcb2ri1l-nfFdY0piATT0v5bpCaL9J5LjIsVUaY71kLaQN/s2048/signature.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCdyF_x_ZaLETK-a_9wnkKJBVNIzTsUWq5ACn4cX-LYIWpcNqVGZQiaLncO2QcpH3aVGiznRDrlkdfjPtZlVCnH4rRXDhp69Rcb2ri1l-nfFdY0piATT0v5bpCaL9J5LjIsVUaY71kLaQN/w640-h640/signature.PNG" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p>Lilia G. We can definitely say 2020's energy had a big impact in our lives. So I think it's good timing to cut cords on what no longer serves us. And make room for new lifestyle changes that can help take care of you mind, body, and spirit.</p><p>With that said, I am bringing back a meditation practice I created for myself after my miscarriages known as the WOMB LOVE Meditation. I remember the first time I sat down with myself in 2018 how much I needed space for my healing process. And as I continue to craft my magic, I've also realize how many other women needed space and decided to expand my practice to share and guide. So as continuation of my WOMB LOVE practice, I am excited to bring back this meditation on a monthly basis on the first Saturday of the month to continue to connect, spread love, and hold space. Follow on Instagram for updates on next mediation gathering. </p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-pyllSWwnPXV3WDONv9nrVKRbtXNfw5yMKCgANwQrNBw3VeBQueonC57Os7ovtgGgH2XQf3XOThFEeOjMKs8P0LVG6au6gEHpmLlMqDpL3EyWPv5-nYsYk4pTOxSmi1o2I1MQYt6kEFFy/s2048/womb.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1638" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-pyllSWwnPXV3WDONv9nrVKRbtXNfw5yMKCgANwQrNBw3VeBQueonC57Os7ovtgGgH2XQf3XOThFEeOjMKs8P0LVG6au6gEHpmLlMqDpL3EyWPv5-nYsYk4pTOxSmi1o2I1MQYt6kEFFy/w512-h640/womb.JPG" width="512" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIspsVg_QVtr0cZhP6IXzrNSTukocn9MK0Bz3vGZNc9DgFNHahAaSpBBBxvtGA137HbLMltrjVc0DaeuPe4fjGcWqhk0-4FDYUfoT8Shm0oZZ-lGx6nkvVBfhn78Gij_J0MVZQPqI3KRbk/s2048/meditation.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1723" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIspsVg_QVtr0cZhP6IXzrNSTukocn9MK0Bz3vGZNc9DgFNHahAaSpBBBxvtGA137HbLMltrjVc0DaeuPe4fjGcWqhk0-4FDYUfoT8Shm0oZZ-lGx6nkvVBfhn78Gij_J0MVZQPqI3KRbk/w538-h640/meditation.JPG" width="538" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Sending you much WOMB LOVE</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZOJkRLvSUyVt2HAw6VKXwpQZD5McVZ1v4_eTrssXKfo-fPch3cjK_FsWMjgkqGStudAsgtJtU4PRsOV5UHIsblwEWYW0qoLWsoJIw0D3M0Q5ccY5mj6Q9zjESSjnmrmfFgj8eIbAZQ7hU/s2048/signature.PNG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZOJkRLvSUyVt2HAw6VKXwpQZD5McVZ1v4_eTrssXKfo-fPch3cjK_FsWMjgkqGStudAsgtJtU4PRsOV5UHIsblwEWYW0qoLWsoJIw0D3M0Q5ccY5mj6Q9zjESSjnmrmfFgj8eIbAZQ7hU/w640-h640/signature.PNG" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br />Lilia G. And although I no longer have a purpose to use birth control method, I couldn't help but think of the million women that still depend on the medication for their own personal reproductive care. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">So with much thought put into place, I came across Dr. Sophia Yen who is on a mission to improve the lives of all women with her company Pandia Health. She won't let anything get in the way of her work to help women live their best life. She's smart, dynamic and really fun to talk to about some not so comfortable health topics. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Dr. Yen's company <a href="https://www.pandiahealth.com/">Pandia Health</a> is the only woman-founded, woman/doctor lead company providing birth control to your door. The female medical professionals at Pandia provide patients with telehealth appointments and home delivery of the pill, the ring or the patch, depending on the patient needs. They are medical experts who want to provide the right treatment for you and aren't using an algorithm to make health decisions. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0zbttqRJAPBM4D_bw2dQ1RHZGDz06eukv-825j-WpoLnufUuPwd-6VocuNxAJxYe0sk7Wo4y25q_sR78e3VPpEonL6ZDLTLCAZa7VSWL6c6Wku2CpHGlDxxt345jnJkkS7C6R8g9SqTLt/s800/pandia_stacked_logo_color_transparent_bg_medium.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="800" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0zbttqRJAPBM4D_bw2dQ1RHZGDz06eukv-825j-WpoLnufUuPwd-6VocuNxAJxYe0sk7Wo4y25q_sR78e3VPpEonL6ZDLTLCAZa7VSWL6c6Wku2CpHGlDxxt345jnJkkS7C6R8g9SqTLt/w640-h640/pandia_stacked_logo_color_transparent_bg_medium.png" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><br /></div><div style="background-color: white; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;">If you are on the birth control pill/patch/ring, please try Pandia Health? The campaign focused on women who may experience symptoms of a bleeding disorder but have not been diagnosed. The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness and knowledge of bleeding disorders and provide resources for women who seek care. The campaign has a risk assessment tool, postcards, brochures, booklets, and videos for women to learn whether they are at risk for a bleeding disorder and the next steps to take to seek care. Help spread awareness of bleeding disorders so women don't go undiagnosed. </p><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVnvKsNZK-bcRJDgvNbsxvvyw_y_tv4L11LdPEOHpp4xnMnYWIa2WzFX9nbz1dTtiiVkpch36LmVEBwsBv7Gh_ngWGA3n9NGdsJWvXcl90-85lU-_KFA8nM0a0CjsCpsGDmkvHOUtiMmN-/s2048/10+DAYS+%25281%2529.png" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVnvKsNZK-bcRJDgvNbsxvvyw_y_tv4L11LdPEOHpp4xnMnYWIa2WzFX9nbz1dTtiiVkpch36LmVEBwsBv7Gh_ngWGA3n9NGdsJWvXcl90-85lU-_KFA8nM0a0CjsCpsGDmkvHOUtiMmN-/w400-h400/10+DAYS+%25281%2529.png" width="400" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><br /></td></tr></tbody></table><br /><div><br /></div><div>Bleeding disorders can easily go undiagnosed. Whether you or someone you care about has been impacted by gynecologic cancers, you're in a position to share your experience and empower others with the knowledge you've gained. </p><p>As women, we often feel pain and discomfort in the pelvic region and this can be due to several factors such as Menstruation, PMS, PCOS, and/or Endometriosis etc. Having known that, we should always become familiar the potential signs and symptoms of gynecologic cancer, so we can be consciously aware of the health disparities that exist among women of color. </p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmt-cyrAZIEK-vULIehYaUVnhh8lgQvlU2p5oZP3Lzl3esT2zIfj6EXQ7oZpx0e8cscWI1eRYL6dg4gfCH2gLB4Mx0yq8B3OaUreb8-2tojAh2q0lbT56lSdnJAJtoRizIciCih10IOsAz/s1081/pam-j_vulva-100.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1081" data-original-width="1081" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmt-cyrAZIEK-vULIehYaUVnhh8lgQvlU2p5oZP3Lzl3esT2zIfj6EXQ7oZpx0e8cscWI1eRYL6dg4gfCH2gLB4Mx0yq8B3OaUreb8-2tojAh2q0lbT56lSdnJAJtoRizIciCih10IOsAz/w400-h400/pam-j_vulva-100.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;">According to Disparities in Gynecological Malignancies article, </span><span style="text-align: left;">health care disparities exist higher in women of color due to complex and biologic factors such as race, socioeconomic, and geographic barriers that influence treatment and survival. This is why it's crucially important for women to understand why we need more representation in research studies because we can't based one clinical study to be applicable for all women. These barriers must be addressed to provide optimal care to women in the U.S. with gynecologic cancer. </span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: "Times New Roman", stixgeneral, serif; font-size: 15.9991px; text-align: left;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh66KyIb8izAkM4Fnv2SCzBsxQxsqNbIOeVTBp3RTmP6K8XV5del3fFnSVuNAgdVxUQC__LxSrVA9yreHaJo_gAR4gBCnrzP1Gfld9I6pbBfDe0tNgGFrSQU-rjf3AAE761I69vUYWE-lPh/s1081/vaginal_wellness-visits-100.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1081" data-original-width="1081" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh66KyIb8izAkM4Fnv2SCzBsxQxsqNbIOeVTBp3RTmP6K8XV5del3fFnSVuNAgdVxUQC__LxSrVA9yreHaJo_gAR4gBCnrzP1Gfld9I6pbBfDe0tNgGFrSQU-rjf3AAE761I69vUYWE-lPh/w400-h400/vaginal_wellness-visits-100.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><span style="background-color: white; font-family: "Times New Roman", stixgeneral, serif; font-size: 15.9991px; text-align: left;"><br /></span></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><p style="text-align: left;">So Mujeres, <span style="text-align: center;">our efforts for Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month (GCAM) can have a huge impact on individual lives and the community at large. I hope all of you had an amazing labor day weekend! With that said, I kept thinking about a resource I wanted to share known as <a href="https://www.thewisdomstudy.org/">The Wisdom Study</a>. The study is to find out if all women need to get a mammogram every year or if there should be more of a personalized screening recommendation based on breast health, family history, lifestyle and more.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Below are a couple FAQs created by the Wisdom Study: </div>
<div>
<b><br /></b></div>
<div>
<b>What is the WISDON Study?</b></div>
<div>
<b><br /></b></div>
<div>
The WISDOM Study is designed to end the confusion about breast cancer screening. By comparing two safe and accepted screening recommendations, we will determine the best screening guidelines for ourselves, our sisters, our daughters, and future generations of women. Together, we will discover the best way forward.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>What are the benefits of participating in the WISDOM Study?</b></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
By participating in this study, you will help us determine how to best screen every woman. You will have access to the latest information on breast health provided from a source you can trust. You may also have access to advanced genetic testing that is currently not routinely available. Most advances that have been made in breast cancer risk reduction, diagnosis, and treatment of breast cancer are due to participation of women like you in studies like this. By participating you are joining a community of 100,000 women who will end the confusion for yourself, other women, and future generations of women. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Why is the WISDOM Study needed?</b></div>
<div>
<b><br /></b></div>
<div>
There is a lot of confusion about when and how often a woman should get a mammogram. Breast cancer experts don't all agree. The WISDOM study hopes to provide clarification on which method is safer and more effective for women: routine yearly screening or personalized screening. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The study aims to determine how to best screen every woman and learn the best way to use mammograms to catch breast cancer while reducing the number of false alarms and biopsies for women without breast cancer. This study will compare routine yearly and personalized screening. </div>

They have been used for centuries and myriad purposes for healing, protection and decoration. Crystal are highly utilized for specific energy and vibrations they bring into your surroundings.<br />
<br />
Crystals that are utilized for healing have a purpose that is often used instead of a medical technique. Crystals are placed around your body to act as a channel for healing which can help positive and healing energy flow into the body causing negative energy to be expelled. In particular for women's health, crystal can help transition vulnerable experiences into positive ones by shifting the energy in the mind, body, and soul with prayer, meditation, and divine light.<br />
<br />
Today, I share with you three ways to use crystals, the first one, is setting crystals on your forearms. This intention is to release any negative energy flowing through our arms which the first part of body that comes into contact with objects and individuals. But before placing crystals on your body, it's important to cleanse and/or smudge them as well as set intentional prayer. After this process, begin placing one crystal at a time from the wrist to the elbow area. Allowing the crystals to be linear will provide a direction for the blood circulation to flow from north to south and visa versa. Cleaning the energy field as it leaves and returns.<br />
<br />

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
Two, place a crystal on your third eye and heart chakra, this will allow you to connect with your inner wisdom, God's healing abilities, and your inner consciousness. The third eye refers to the gate that leads to the inner realms and spaces of higher consciousness. In spirituality, the third eye symbolizes a state of enlighten or mental images having a deep personal spiritual connection. Our third eye is often associated with our religious practice, visions, and clairvoyance to observe the natural beautiful auras surrounding by white light energy and love.<br />
<br />
The heart chakra shows you to be gentle with your inner soul. Vulnerability lies deep within our body cells and this will be the time to ask God to assist you in uplifting the energy to guide you and nurture you to a state of self compassion. You will feel the actual movement of the tragic energies there in the room, moving swiftly, gently open your heart and welcome God's own fire of love.<br />
<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Third, place crystals on your inner ankles and between your feet. The two points will correlate to your sexual organs such as your ovaries and the middle one connects to your stomach, adrenal glands, pancreas and kidneys. Placing crystals in these areas of your body helps detoxify, free tension, and improve circulation with vibrational energetic waves that help the organs stay healthy. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Now that you know a couple holistic crystal practices, you can set an area in your home where you like to implement the practice for 10minuts or more. Remember to choose an area where you will be comfortable for more than 10 minutes. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
